While regular messages from the District regarding COVID-19 cases have been discontinued, it is important for you to know that the virus continues to impact MECS. Several students and staff members have tested positive in recent weeks and some of our students have been subject to quarantine. If your child is not feeling well, please keep them home and seek guidance from a physician.
One of our current challenges is keeping up with substitute coverage due to faculty/staff absences. Please consider serving as a substitute teacher, aide, bus driver, secretary, cafeteria worker, or maintenance worker. We are only able to deliver services to the students of MECS if we have appropriate personnel. If you choose to become a substitute, you have the opportunity to accept or decline assignments offered. You can even limit your interest to specific positions.
