Supporting STEM in the Classroom
The MORIC Model Schools Team collaborated with teachers at Morrisville-Eaton Central School District to introduce kindergarten students at E.R. Andrews Elementary School to the world of robots and coding. Students got hands-on with the technology and practiced skills they have learned, such as forward, back, right, and left. Students also had an envelope of choices to choose from when sending the Beebot on his way. Students were able to utilize their skills to identify cards labeled with numbers, colors, and 2D shapes. Student engagement was high during this interactive, collaborative learning experience.
