Students in Mrs. McRae’s Spanish 3 class created beautiful ofrendas again this year to honor and celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This annual tradition is a meaningful way for students to explore cultural heritage and express creativity through vibrant, symbolic displays.

We’re ready for a fun night no matter the weather! Trunk or Treat will go on as planned — so bundle up, bring your umbrellas or pop-up tents, and get ready for a spooky good time! 👻
Vendors handing out candy are encouraged to bring tents and dress for a cold, wet evening.

The Senior Class will be running the concession stand with $5 meal deals — hot dog, bag of chips, cookie, and a bottle of water.
🍭 Plus, FFA will have cotton candy for sale!
Come join us for a great community night — we can’t wait to see you there! 💛💙

All activities at the Middle/High School have returned to normal. Lunches are being served, though some students are on an adjusted schedule. Morning BOCES students have returned to campus, and afternoon BOCES students are being transported to their programs as normal.
We are proud of the way our students and staff responded during the evacuation. Their calm, cooperation, and attentiveness helped ensure everything went smoothly.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding today.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Rauch | Principal

Dear Parents and Families,
The Middle/High School has been evacuated due to a gas odor in the building. All students and staff are safe and have been moved to the football field, a safe distance away.
Our Buildings and Grounds personnel are on site and working with the local fire department to diagnose the situation. At this time, there is no immediate danger to students or staff.
We ask that you do not come to the Middle/High School at this time to pick up your child, as this will allow emergency personnel to complete their work quickly and safely.
We anticipate a timely return to classes. Should an early dismissal become necessary, we will communicate that promptly. Further updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Nicholas Rauch | Principal
Morrisville-Eaton Middle/High School
Dear Parents and Guardians,
How quickly we find ourselves in mid-September! I hope you are hearing reports from your children about all the good things happening at the Middle/High School.
Lockdown Drills
This week, we plan to conduct our two required lockdown drills. During forum this morning, I reviewed lockdown protocols with students:
Prior to each drill, an announcement will be made indicating that a drill will begin shortly.
An announcement will then be made to initiate the drill.
When the drill has concluded, another announcement will release students and staff back to regular activity.
Students were reminded that, during a lockdown drill, they will be asked to move to an area in the classroom or other locked space where they cannot be seen, remain quiet, and follow their teacher’s directions.
Student Safety Item
Recently, a small bag containing Benadryl was found on one of our school buses. While not connected to any specific student, it serves as an important reminder about the safe and appropriate use of medications. Please take a moment to talk with your child about:
Only taking medication provided by a parent, guardian, or trusted adult.
Never ingesting unknown substances, even if offered by a peer.
Asking questions if they are unsure about a medicine or its purpose.
We also want families to be aware of the “Benadryl Challenge,” a dangerous trend on social media that encourages misuse of the drug. Misusing medications can cause severe health risks. Please continue to monitor your child’s online activity and reinforce safe decision-making.
