Be prepared for the POSSIBILITY of a modified half-day tomorrow, December 23rd. Another "Once in a Generation Storm" is in the weekend forecast. The details of this weather pattern and the timing of a rapid temperature change remain uncertain, but it appears that the early afternoon hours pose a risk for a flash freeze. We will monitor this storm over the next 24 hours. It is possible that an earlier dismissal than planned (up to an hour) may need to be considered. Please have a family plan for this possibility.

Mrs. Werbela's Introduction to Agriculture class recently teamed up with Ms. Yancey's Introduction to Business class to compete in the New York State Agriculture in the Classroom Mac & Cheese Challenge!! Students developed their perfect macaroni & cheese recipe, created marketing materials for their product, and learned more about the dairy product industry in their community. This cross-curricular experience reinforced core curricular concepts in Math, Science, ELA, and exposed students to career opportunities in our food system. A little fun fact... In New York so many delicious cheese varieties are produced. The dairy industry is the largest agricultural sector in the state and makes more than one billion pounds of chees annually. Around 15 billion pounds of milk are produced on nearly 3,600 farms across the Empire State, making New York the 5th largest dairy producing state in the nation. Good news from the Middle/High School! I'm incredibly pleased to announce that Morrisville-Eaton Middle/High School has a number of students that have excelled in their academic pursuits to start the 2022-2023 school year. The first marking period saw nearly 200 of our 300 students earn Honor Roll or High Honor Roll marks. Students, well done on the work you've put in in the first 10 weeks. I also want to thank our wonderful teaching staff for nurturing and facilitating our students' success. Your efforts don't go unnoticed. What a start! Keep up the great work, everyone!
